Black Stars midfielder Amankwah Forson made his Norwich City debut in the first match of the English Championship season against Oxford United.
Forson, who recently joined the Canaries from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg, was brought on at the start of the second half, replacing Liam Gibbs.
Despite Norwich's 2-0 defeat, Forson showed flashes of his potential, giving manager Johannes Thorup optimism about the club's summer signing.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian, who signed a four-year deal with an option for an additional year just a day before the match, quickly found himself on the pitch despite having yet to complete a full training session with his new team.
In the match, held on a sweltering Saturday afternoon at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford United took the lead through Mark Harris, with Cameron Brannagan doubling their advantage early in the second half.
While Norwich struggled to find their rhythm, Forson's performance offered a glimmer of hope for the Canaries as they look to bounce back in the coming fixtures.
