Techiman based Ampem Darkoa Ladies beat Hasaacas Ladies 1-0 in the final of the Women's FA Cup to secure a historic double on Sunday.
The win is the second for Ampem Darkoa over familiar foes Hasaacas Ladies in one week following a 5-3 penalty win in the final of the Women's Premier League last Saturday.
A solitary goal from Comfort Yeboah gave the Techiman side another trophy at the expense of Hasaacas Ladies to win the double.
A poorly timed tackle was the undoing of Hasaacas Ladies as in the 18th minute a penalty was awarded to the WPL champions.
Comfort Yeboah did not hesitate as he dispatched the ball home beyond the despairing dive of the Hasaacas Ladies goalkeeper.
Hasaacas Ladies pressed for the elusive equalizer but the WPL winners were resolute as Hasaacas Ladies failed to breach the Ampem Darkoa Ladies back line.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will represent Ghana at the CAF Women's Champions League next season.
