Swansea winger Andre is is excited with his side's last gasp win against Notttingham Forest in their Championship clash on Wednesday.

The solitary goal from Connor Roberts late in the game handed the Swans all three points despite playing poorly on the night.

Steve Cooper's side have now moved to third on the league log further enhancing their play off chances and promotion hopes.

Nottingham Forest could count themselves desperately unlucky to lose to a late Swansea City goal at the Liberty Stadium.

The Reds were the better side against the promotion side for much of the match, but were beaten by Connor Roberts' 87th minute header.

Forest more than matched their opponents and were unlucky not to take the lead with the last kick of the opening period when Anthony Knockaert hit the bar.

Knockaert was at the centre of Forest's best work as he took the game to the Swansea defence with some tantalising deliveries.

James Garner also made a positive impact again, and he got the Reds going with a driving run in the 13th minute before his pass was a little overhit for Lewis Grabban.

The Manchester United midfielder was clattered by Jake Bidwell soon after, with Forest's bench demanding action other than the free-kick which was eventually given by referee Geoff Eltringham.

Swansea remain firmly in the race for automatic promotion, while Forest drop down a place to 18th.
Andre Ayew was excited about his side's latest victory and has commended the efforts of his teammates.

“Not the best of games but a great win today⚪️⚫️ team effort was outstanding 👊🏾 Connor and bids love it my bro’s ⚽️..we keep going.! YJB⚪️⚫️🦢”

Ayew has played 27 times in the Championship and has scored 9 goals and 2 assists.
