Andre Ayew stars as Fenerbahçe crash out of UEFA Champions League

Andre Ayew played full throttle for Fenerbahçe as they were bundled out of this season's UEFA Champions League by Benfica after 1-1 stalemate on Tuesday evening.

The Yellow Canaries were evicted 2-1 on aggregate after losing the first leg 1-0 last week in Portugal.

Gedson Fernandes gave Benfica the lead in the 26th minute but Alper Potuk snatched the equalizer on the 45th minute mark.

The Turkish giants will therefore now feature in next season’s Europa League.
