The Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Adaklu, Governs Kwame Agbodza, has alleged that Majority Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, was secretly smuggled into Parliament.

This according to him was in the early hours of Tuesday, October 22, ahead of the day’s proceedings.

Mr Agbodza explained that, the move violates official protocols as access to the Chamber officially began at 08:00 am.

The Minority Chief Whip made the claims in an interview with Adom News, indicting parliament’s security.

Mr Agbodza bemoaned that the action of his colleague Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP could lead to tension when proceedings begin at 10:00 am.

“Parliament issued a circular that the Chamber be opened at 8 am, yet the security apparatus of this country connived and opened the doors for Annoh-Dompreh to enter the Chamber. I am here, and I see him inside with the doors locked. The question is, how did he get in there?” Agbodza queried.

The Adaklu MP warned that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs and Parliament’s security would take responsibility should any chaotic scenes erupt.

“I can’t assure orderliness when Annoh-Dompreh has broken the law and is currently sitting in the Chamber and the security apparatus is not making any attempts to remove him.”
