Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo marked his 50th appearance in the English Premier League with a stellar performance, scoring a goal as AFC Bournemouth defeated Southampton 3-1 at Vitality Park on Monday night.
Since joining Bournemouth in January 2023, Semenyo has steadily made his mark in the league. In his debut season, he made 11 appearances and scored once.
However, his role expanded significantly under manager Andoni Iraola, leading to 33 appearances and 8 goals, making him one of the club's leading scorers behind Dominic Solanke, who is now with Tottenham.
In the current campaign, Semenyo has continued his impressive form, featuring in six matches and netting three goals, playing a crucial role in Bournemouth's solid start to the season.
His contributions on the pitch have established him as a key figure for the Cherries, especially with the recent signing of Evanilson from Porto, which underscores the importance of Semenyo in their attacking lineup.
