Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo narrowly missed out on AFC Bournemouth’s Goal of the Month accolade for October, despite delivering a standout performance against Fulham.

The Black Stars striker earned a nomination for his dazzling solo effort in Bournemouth’s 3-1 comeback win, where he scored twice. His first goal—an electrifying run past two defenders followed by a precise finish past Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno—was widely praised by fans and pundits alike.

However, Semenyo was edged out by Dutch international Justin Kluivert, whose thunderous long-range strike captured the majority of supporters’ votes. Kluivert’s goal, scored in wet conditions, saw him drive through the Fulham defense before unleashing a rocket into the top corner—securing both the win and the award.

Semenyo remains one of Bournemouth’s standout performers this season. With six goals and three assists in 11 appearances, he’s just five goals shy of matching last season’s tally. His nine goal contributions underline his growing influence and consistency in the Premier League.
