Ghanaian striker Antoine Semnyo scored once again for his struggling championship side Bristol  City to earn them a draw and save them from defeat against Blackburn Rovers.

Antoine Semenyo's 68-minute equalizer ensured City claimed a share of the spoils after Bradley Dack grabbed the game's opener.

The first chance of the afternoon fell the way of the visitors Blackburn and their main marksman Ben Brereton-Diaz as an inviting ball dropped to his feet at the far post, however he could only lift his effort high over Max O’Leary’s bar.

City upped their tempo in search of the game’s opener and had two half chances through Antoine Semenyo and Nahki Wells, but neither could find the target.

The Robins’ best opportunity came from a quick set-piece move as Matty James and Alex Scott combined to see the former whip a ball into the near post, where Wells was on hand to flick on target and force a solid save from Thomas Kaminski.

Semenyo then met a dipping Kal Naismith cross and managed to direct his header goalward, only for it to loop over the bar and onto the roof of the net.

The deadlock was broken in the 54th minute as Blackburn moved the ball with confidence on the edge of the City area, before Tyler Morton got to the byline and cut the ball back to Dack to tuck home in front of the travelling fans.

It would be Semenyo that provided City's equaliser. Zak Vyner's quick-thinking allowed him to evade the onrushing Jack Vale before charging at the Rovers' defence and letting fire from range, Kaminski couldn't handle his dipping effort which was parried into the path of Semenyo to tap in.
