A former presidential aide and deputy general secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has hinted that a book he co-authored about the life of late president Atta Mills will reveal the cause of death.

Anyidoho said the book which is a biography of his late boss, chronicles the former president's political journey. His co-author is Professor Kwamena Ahwoi.

Adomonline.com reported that the vocal NDC member was on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 to shed insight into the political activism, experiences and what led to the former president's death.

According to the former presidential spokesperson, the idea to write the book was to put to rest, false accounts over the death of the late president.

Anyidoho was quoted as saying: “When Professor Atta Mills died, in order not to feel that he has been forgotten and also the narration surrounding his death, together with Kwamena Ahwoi, we decided to write a biography of him to put to rest the twisted narrative about his death."

The book is said to contain the thoughts of about 70 respondents, including those of ex-president Kufuor, as well as family and classmates of the late Atta-Mills.

It will be launched in July to coincide with the 7th anniversary of his passing.

Meanwhile, Anyidoho has opined that Ghana is not likely to match up with developing countries if the mentality of the people and attitude of politicians did not change.

According to him, the idea to transform the country into what was called the ‘Better Ghana’ by former president John Evans Atta Mills, was unfortunately shattered by his death.
