Army Ladies celebrated a landmark achievement by securing their first Women’s FA Cup trophy with a narrow 1-0 victory over Police Ladies on Saturday at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra.

Both teams, representing significant security institutions, were determined to claim the title, but it was Army Ladies who emerged victorious, solidifying their dominance over their rivals.

The match's pivotal moment came from Deborah Opoku, who capitalized on a critical error by the Police Ladies' goalkeeper.

The goalkeeper failed to manage a long-range free-kick, allowing Opoku to skillfully slot the ball into the net from close range.

Despite their persistent efforts, Police Ladies were unable to find an equalizer, and as the final whistle blew, Army Ladies celebrated their historic triumph, lifting the Women’s FA Cup trophy for the first time in the club's history.
