Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is injured once again for his club Arsenal and his manager Mikel Arteta says that he is unsure of the extent of the injury.

Last  Saturday, the defensive midfielder missed Arsenal's 2-1 win against Fulham with an injury concern meaning he has missed 33 games for the Premier League leaders since joining them.

The Ghanaian midfielder suffered the injury at the training grounds and missed their clash at he Emirates Stadium.

Speaking ahead of their game against Aston Villa on Wednesday night, Arteta confirmed that the former Atletico Madrid will be assessed to determine the extent of the injury.

“I don't think so," he told the club website.

"We still have to make another scan, especially on Thomas, to see the length but I don't think they will be available.

"It is a similar area [to the one that kept Partey out last season], but hopefully not as bad," he added.

The Ghanaian has been an ever-present for the gunners in their first three matches of the season but missed their fourth with an injury.
