Arsenal F.C. dropped two crucial points in the Premier League title race after being held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. at Molineux.

The league leaders looked to be in control after racing into a 2-0 advantage, putting themselves on course for what would have been a significant away victory. But Wolves mounted a spirited comeback, pulling a goal back before snatching a last-minute equaliser to stun the visitors and ignite the home crowd.

Arsenal’s frustration was evident at full time. Having done much of the hard work early on, they were unable to see out the contest, a vulnerability that could prove costly as the campaign enters its decisive stretch.

The draw leaves Arsenal looking over their shoulder at defending champions Manchester City F.C., who now sit five points behind with a game in hand. Victory in that outstanding fixture would cut the gap to just two points, setting up what promises to be a tense and closely fought run-in.

With momentum swinging and little margin for error, the Premier League title race appears far from settled.
