Ghana's Asamoah Gyan over the weekend scored the winner for his side NorthEast United in their match day 2 encounter with Odisha in the Indian Super league.

The 33 year old Gyan playing his second game for his new team was yet to score a goal but just as the game was heading for a stalemate, Gyan in the 85th minute at the Guwahati Stadium rose highest to glance a corner into the bottom corner of the post to hand his side all three points in a hotly contested fixture.

The well traveled Gyan joined his Indian outfit in September afterdeparting Turkish outfit Kayserispor as a free agent.
