Renowned figure in Asante Kotoko's history, Wilberforce Mfum, has strongly urged for the immediate dismissal of the club's head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, following a series of disappointing performances.

Expressing deep apprehension regarding the club's direction under Ogum's guidance, Mfum criticized the decision of the Interim Management Committee to retain him despite enduring five consecutive losses.

"That is unacceptable. If I had any authority within the team, I would have vehemently opposed the IMC's decision," Mfum expressed during an interview with Akoma FM.

Mfum's dissatisfaction echoes the sentiments of many fans who believe that such an extended period of poor results cannot be tolerated at a club of Kotoko's caliber.

He further stressed the importance of upholding the dignity of Otumfuo, the club's royal patron, suggesting that the current situation tarnishes his reputation.

"The name of Otumfuo cannot be dragged to this extent," he remarked.

Additionally, Mfum questioned the extent of Ogum's influence in player recruitment, raising doubts about the quality of signings made during his tenure.

"Why was he granted such authority to unilaterally acquire players?" Mfum queried.

"Kotoko deserves players of the highest caliber who can attract supporters to the stadium, not those from lower divisions as we currently have," he concluded.
