Asante Kotoko are reportedly preparing an ambitious move to sign Hearts of Oak forward Hamza Issah, with a player-plus-cash offer currently under serious consideration.
The 26-year-old attacker has emerged as a top priority target for the Porcupine Warriors, who are determined to strengthen their front frontline ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season following a disappointing return in front of goal during the last campaign.
According to reports, Kotoko are willing to include a fringe forward—whose identity remains undisclosed—alongside a cash sum in a bid to lure Hearts into parting with one of their key players.
Hamza Issah has scored four goals this season, and while his numbers may not yet be prolific, his movement, link-up play, and potential upside have caught the attention of Kotoko’s technical team.
The belief is that, under the right conditions, he could become an influential part of the club’s restructured attack.
However, Hearts of Oak are reportedly reluctant to do business, especially with arch-rivals Kotoko, and no formal response has yet been issued by the Phobians.
The Ghana Premier League transfer window officially opens on Monday, June 23, 2025, setting the stage for what could be a tense and dramatic saga if Kotoko follow through with their interest.
