Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of former King Faisal FC attacking midfielder Baba Yahaya on a three-year deal after a fruitful negotiations.

Yahaya has joined the Porcupine Warriors until the end of the 2025/26 season after passing a mandatory medical examination earlier this week.

The club's official statement reads “Asante Kotoko is delighted to confirm the signing of highly rated attacking midfielder, Baba Yahaya, on a free transfer on a contract running until 2026.”

“The 21-year-old successfully completed a mandatory medical test and agreed a deal with the club on Thursday.”

Baba becomes Asante Kotoko's third midfield reinforcement, following in the footsteps of Andrews Ntim and Bernard Somuah.

“I feel honoured to be here finally after dreaming of this day.I believe sometimes in life, the voice of the people is the voice of God.” Baba Yahaya told the club's official website after sealing the move.

Yahaya is the latest signing of Asante Kotoko after the arrival of Yahaya Dawuni, Nanabayin Amoah, Andrews Ntim Manu, Kalo Ouattara, Henry Ansu, Fatao Seidu, Samuel Asamoah and Bernard Somuah.
