This facility, the first of its kind in West Africa will be the West African hub for maintenance of all aircraft from the 15 ECOWAS countries.

The Ashanti Regional Minister Hon Simon Osei Mensah speaking in an interview with Abusua Fm’s morning show host Kwame Adinkra after meeting the Asante Community in Denver (USA) said measures have been put in place to realize this goal.

“Aircraft Maintenance repair centre for servicing aircraft will be constructed in Ashanti Region so that aircraft would not have to seek such services outside Ghana. After the construction of the Aircraft maintenance hub, all the aircrafts in West Africa have to come to Ashanti region for maintenance and services. I had a meeting with a group of businessmen who are ready to support the project” the Minister said.
