Former Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has praised West Ham United's new signing, Mohammed Kudus, and believes that the Ghanaian midfielder will bring a valuable dimension to the team's midfield.

Kudus recently joined West Ham on a five-year deal with the option of a sixth year, in a transfer worth £38 million.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily, Begovic commended the Ghanaian's addition to the squad, describing it as a welcome enhancement.

With West Ham set to participate in the Europa League this season, Begovic emphasized that the 23-year-old midfielder would provide a fresh perspective in midfield, which would be beneficial for their European campaign.

"They have got another dimension in midfield with him (Mohammed Kudus), and they will need it to challenge on the European stage," Begovic stated.

He also praised West Ham's overall squad and their value-for-money transfer dealings, expressing optimism for a successful season ahead.

Kudus made his debut for West Ham against Luton Town and is expected to be a key player as the team competes in various competitions this season, including the Europa League.
