Spanish top flight side, Atlético Madrid are weighing up options to sign Ghana defender, Mohammed Salisu.

Atletico Madrid are already in advanced talks to hire the 21-year-old Salisu.

The Real Valladolid defender is one of Atletico’s objectives in the transfer market, although it is not likely he might end up at Atletico soon.

This is stated by the newspaper MARCA, which indicates that Atlético Madrid plans a further assessment for Salisu before he is finally acquired to play in the Atletico first team.

According to the aforementioned media, at Atlético de Madrid they have faith in the footballer, but they consider that their adaptation to the Simeone team could be better if he plays on loan for one more season at Real Valladolid.

The departure of Salisu on loan could make Mario Hermoso continue at least one more season at Atlético de Madrid.

In the event that Salisu ends up arriving without a previous loan, the Madrid central defender,Hermoso would be on the exit list.

Salisu, 21, has been one of the season's brightest defenders until the tournament's suspension from the coronavirus.

The footballer has a termination clause of 12 million euros although his price could be even lower.

Atlético de Madrid wants to repeat with Salisu the formula used with Saúl, Thomas Partey and Diego Costa.

The club had patience with these footballers and gave them up before their final hatching occurred in the first team and they became important players for Atlético Madrid.
