Ghanaian forward Augustine Boakye played a pivotal role in Wolfsberger AC's commanding home win against WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday.

Wolfsberger AC clinched their seventh triumph of the season with a resounding 4-1 victory over WSG Tirol in their match-week 19 encounter at the Lavanttal Arena.

Boakye showcased his playmaking skills by providing two assists for his team.

In the 8th and 30th minute, he set up Ivorian international Thierno Ballo, who capitalized on Boakye's deliveries to give Wolfsberger AC a comfortable 2-0 lead in the first half.

Shortly after the break, Bernhard Zimmermann extended Wolfsberger AC's advantage to 3-0 with a goal in the 50th minute.

Although WSG Tirol managed to pull one back through Osarenren Okungbowa in the 75th minute, Wolfsberger AC quickly reasserted their dominance with a late strike from Adis Jasic, sealing the victory.

Boakye's impactful performance earned him recognition, and he was substituted after the hour-mark, making way for Florian Rieder to join the action.

With five goals and six assists in 17 league appearances this season, Boakye has been a consistent contributor to Wolfsberger AC's campaign.

Despite his impressive form, he is yet to represent Ghana at any level, showcasing his potential for future international involvement.
