The only two local players who were initially handed call up to the Black Stars have once again been turned into training horses as they have been dropped from the traveling party to Angola for the Central African Republic(CAR) match.

Hearts of Oak forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Bechem United's Augustine Okrah have been left out of the squad  to  play in the second group game against CAR on Sunday and will not also play in the Kirin Cup in Japan.

Ghana is expected to travel to Angola on Friday evening for the game after which they will continue to Asia for the  friendly games in the Kirin Tournament.

Celta Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo will also not take a part in the game as he suffered an injury in training with Bochum winger Christopher Antwi Agyei who was invited only for the Kirin Cup joining the team in Japan.

However Hearts of Oak left back Dennis Nkrumah Korsah has been handed a late call up to the Black Stars.

Ghana defeated Islanders Madagascar on Wednesday by 3-0 and will on Sunday face CAR in Angola in the second 2023 AFCON qualifier game before traveling to Japan for the Kirin Cup as preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.A
