Captain of Tanzanian side Azam FC, Yakubu Mohammed could not hide his joy after being handed a maiden call up to the senior national team the Black Stars.

Ghana  will take on Mali in an International friendly game on October 9, 2020 in Turkey as part of preparations for the AFCON qualifiers.

Former Aduana Star's defender who now plays for Tanzanian side Azam FC has been handed a call up and the player is obviously elated.

Black Stars coach C.K Akonnor on Friday evening named his 23 man squad to face Mali in an International friendly game in Turkey.

“Happy and ecstatic to have earned my first call up for the Senior National team of Ghana for the upcoming friendly game again MALI”, the former Aduana Stars defender said in a post on his Twitter page.

According to Coach CK Akonnor, he is particularly impressed with the versatility of the full back who can play across several positions.
