Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman played a pivotal role in PAOK's 2-2 draw against Malmo on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round.

Rahman’s crucial goal in the 75th minute ensured that PAOK secured a valuable away draw, setting them up favorably for the return leg in Greece.

Malmo initially took the lead with goals from Pontus Jansson and Sebastian Nanasi, but PAOK responded each time. Rahman’s equalizer helped to keep the tie open and showcased his continued excellent form.

The goal was Rahman’s first of the season, following a strong pre-season where he netted twice.

His performance suggests he could surpass his tally of six goals from last season, during which PAOK won the Greek title.

The former Chelsea defender, who has enjoyed stability and success in Greece, might soon receive a new contract offer from PAOK, or potentially attract interest from more competitive leagues.

With two years remaining on his current deal, Rahman’s future is likely to be a topic of significant discussion.
