It’s misery again for the Fabulous club as Karela United inflicted a painful 3-1 defeat on Kotoko at CAM Park on Wednesday.

After losing at home against bitter-rivals Hearts of Oak over the weekend, Kotoko’s attempt to a redemption got off to a horrific start in Aiyinase.

Imoro Ibrahim scored to give the Premier League debutants a shock lead at the CAM Park.

But Yacouba Songne leveled affairs for the Porcupine warriors in the 34th minute.

Referee Prosper Adii was the center of attention on the stroke of half time as he awarded Karela a penalty after he adjudged Awudu Nafiu to have fouled Diawisie Taylor.

Left-back Abdul Ganiu Ismail stepped up and made no mistake from the spot to give the Nzema-based club a 2-1 lead at the break.

Karela made it 3-1 in the 72nd minute through Maxwell Baako to put the result beyond doubt and compound the woes of sorry Kotoko.
