Accra Hearts of Oak Interim Head Coach Seth Hoffmann says his players are ready for this weekend’s Bakatue Festival Gala Cup, adding that everybody in the team will get an opportunity to play.

The Phobians will be playing for the first time in a month this weekend in the maiden Bakatue Festival Gala Cup and they will be competing against Elmina Sharks, Ebusua Dwarfs, and Karela United for the chance to win the

“We are ready for the Bakatue Gala Cup,” Hoffmann told phobians.com

“I believe it is a good opportunity for all the other teams to test their readiness for the resumption of the league. Since I took over, I have not played a match as well so it will be a good test for me and the players.

“The matches we are going to play will help us a lot because we will see the loopholes we have in the team and tackle them before the league starts again. Also, we will get the chance to see what our strengths are and hopefully, we will find ways to better them as well.”

Elmina is ready to host four Premier League teams this weekend, and Hoffmann says the Bakatue Gala Cup will help all the teams in the long run.

“Apart from the fact that the people of Elmina and its environs will get the chance to watch good and entertaining football, I believe the teams will also benefit in the upcoming matches. Most of the teams in the country are on break but the few of us training and playing in this tournament will get to know our standards and how far we have got to go before the league starts. So this tournament will help all the participating teams," he continued.

“It will also push the players because they will be playing high intensity football again and getting their stamina, concentration and focus levels up. For Hearts, we are going to give all the players a chance to play. It is three matches and a possible four so everybody will play.”
