Kevin-Prince Boateng has been officially unveiled as Barcelona’s latest recruit after sealing a surprise loan move to the Spanish champions.

The former Tottenham and Portsmouth midfielder was revealed as Barca’s pick to replace Munir El Haddadi on Monday night when he made the temporary switch from Italian side Sassuolo.

And he was all smiles on Tuesday as he pulled on the famous home strip for the first time and posed for the cameras at the Nou Camp.

Boateng also posed for selfies with fans while dressed in a suit and greeted club president Josep Maria Bartomeu, who was instrumental in sealing the deal.

Barca have paid the Sassuolo £1.8million to take Boateng on loan for the rest of theseason. They can make the move permanent by paying a further £7m this summer.

The Spanish giants looked at a host of attackers but after ruling out Fernando Llorente, Alvaro Morata, Olivier Giroud and former Middlesbrough forward Cristhian Stuani, they moved for the Ghanaian international.
