Bechem United midfielder Moro Salifu has sealed a transfer move to Egyptian side Ittihad Alexandria SC in the current transfer window.

He joins his new side on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee after passing his medical and agreeing personal terms.

The former Bechem United captain departed Ghana some weeks ago to complete the deal after the two clubs reached an agreement.

Moro Salifu was a shinning light in an otherwise lackluster Bechem United team as he helped them escape relegation by scoring seven goals in 24 matches.

There was a lot of interest from the big boys on the local scene with Kotoko, Hearts all keen while there was also competition from outside the shores of Ghana for the player.

Eventually Al Ittihad Alexandria won the race for the gifted midfielder as they beat off competition from Al Masry and the likes.

The defensive midfielder was handed a late call-up to the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of international friendly matches against Morocco and Ivory Coast in June.
