Ghanaian forward Benjamin Bernard Boateng continued his fine form in the Egyptian Premier League as he found the net for Al Ittihad Alexandria in their thrilling 3-2 victory over Arab Contractors.

The match, which took place on Saturday, saw Al Ittihad come from behind to secure a crucial win on matchday 5 at the Borg Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

The game kicked off with an early goal from Arab Contractors, with defender Ahmed Alaa Eldin finding the back of the net within minutes of the opening whistle.

However, Al Ittihad quickly responded as Angola international striker Agostinho Cristovao Mabululu leveled the score after being set up by Karim El Deeb.

Benjamin Bernard Boateng then put Al Ittihad in the lead, capitalizing on a pass from El Deeb in the 21st minute.

Despite Al Ittihad's advantage, Arab Contractors managed to restore parity shortly after, with defender Mahmoud Shabana scoring an own goal.

The thrilling encounter saw Al Ittihad secure the victory in the late stages of the match, as Islam Abou-Salima found the winning goal in the 87th minute, assisted by Mabululu.

Moro Salifu, a former midfielder for Bechem United, featured for Al Ittihad and played the full duration of the match.

Boateng, who previously played for Elmina Sharks FC, has now scored two goals in four appearances in the Egyptian Premier League this season, further establishing himself as a key contributor for Al Ittihad Alexandria.
