Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson has accused Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh of diving to win his Hull City side a penalty five minutes after coming on.

The striker was a second-half substitute and was awarded a penalty albeit controversial five minutes after he came on when the referee adjudged he had been fouled inside the penalty box after Coyle's cross from the right left Bristol City's defence in a state of unease.

It was a controversial call, but the Turk - who signed from Fenerbahce this summer - took his chance to draw Hull level.

"We feel really aggrieved with the equaliser that they got and that we didn't get a penalty almost straight after that. Their winner is just one of those things that sometimes happens in games, a big deflection which gives you no chance." he told the BBC after the game

"There's absolutely nothing [contact for the Hull penalty] and to be honest with you, their player should have been booked for falling over afterwards. I just find it quite bizarre really. But I don't want to start moaning about referees on day one, I actually spoke to Kevin Friend before the game.
