Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh played 26 minutes for Hull City in the English Championship opener against Bristol City on Saturday.

The striker was a second-half substitute and was awarded a penalty albeit controversial five minutes after he came on when the referee adjudged he had been fouled inside the penalty box after Coyle's cross from the right left Bristol City's defence in a state of unease.

It was a controversial call, but the Turk - who signed from Fenerbahce this summer - took his chance to draw Hull level.

Pearson might contest the decision - infringement looked minimal - but Tufan made no mistake.

Bristol City striker Andi Weimann put his side ahead after 29 minutes, scoring from close range following a free-kick.

Ozan Tufan hit the post for Hull shortly after the break before drawing his side level from the penalty spot, after Benjamin Tetteh was brought down.

But former Fulham midfielder Seri broke the Robins' hearts with three minutes to go, firing the ball beyond goalkeeper Dan Bentley to give Hull all three points.
Bristol City finished strongly - Jay Dasilva came close with a fizzing strike from the left - yet Seri had the final, albeit lucky, final word.
