Yaw Darkwah, an icon of Berekum Chelsea, has voiced his strong belief in FC Samartex's prospects of winning the Ghana Premier League this season.

Darkwah's confidence stems from FC Samartex's formidable record at home, where they rarely suffer defeats, bolstering his endorsement of their championship credentials.

He commended the Timber Giants for their creativity and goal-scoring prowess, recognizing their pivotal role in the team's success thus far.

"It will be difficult for us to win the league if you look at the points between us and the first team, Samartex.

The interval is huge and Samartex doesn’t lose its home matches, they’ve picked two or so defeats at home all season so it’s not easy to defeat them at home and they have a couple of games at home left so it’s not easy to displace them but it’s possible to be in the second or third position," he shared with Ghanasportspage.com.

"I won’t say they’ve already won the league but they can clinch it. It’s not easy to beat a team at their home in this league and there are certain teams it’s difficult to even pick a point in their backyard and Samartex is one of those teams.

"When you look at their points accumulation, it’s very high and it’s not easy to beat them at Samreboi.

With the games left and them also having some home games, it’s not easy to overtake them but anything is possible, it’s a league of course but I don’t see any team overtaking them at this point."
