Ghanaian forward Benjamin Bernard Boateng showcased his scoring prowess as Al Ittihad Alexandria secured an emphatic 3-1 victory over Pharco FC in the Egyptian Premier League.

The match, held at the Borg El Arab Stadium, marked Al Ittihad Alexandria's sixth consecutive unbeaten game.

The Green and White lads took an early lead in the 14th minute through Egyptian international Abdelghani Mohamed.

Boateng doubled the advantage in the 23rd minute, contributing to the team's 2-0 lead at halftime.

Pharco FC fought back in the second half, with Sudanese forward Saifeldin Bakhit pulling one goal back in the 59th minute.

However, Al Ittihad Alexandria maintained control, and Khaled El Ghandour sealed the victory with a goal in the 84th minute, securing a 3-1 win for the home team.

Boateng, a former Elmina Sharks player, showcased his skills for 59 minutes before being replaced by Mahmoud Shabana.

His compatriot Moro Salifu, formerly of Bechem United, played the full duration of the game.

Boateng, under contract with Al Ittihad Alexandria until the summer of 2024, has been a consistent goal-scorer for the team, notching three goals in seven league appearances.

The 23-year-old made the move to the Egyptian side from Elmina Sharks in 2021.

Boateng's performance adds to the growing list of Ghanaian talents making their mark in international leagues, and his goal-scoring ability continues to be a valuable asset for Al Ittihad Alexandria in the Egyptian Premier League.
