Turkish SuperLig side Beşiktaş JK has reportedly informed Ghana international defender Daniel Amartey to seek a new club, as per a report from Turkish media outlet Sporx.
The 29-year-old has been excluded from the squad this summer, with manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst deciding not to include him in the plans for the current football campaign.
Amartey, who joined Beşiktaş after leaving Leicester City, has experienced a challenging time at the club.
Despite his contract running until June 2026, the club has indicated that they are open to letting him go. Interested suitors will need to meet a valuation of €5 million to secure his services.
There is speculation that Brendan Rodgers, currently managing Celtic and Amartey's former boss at Leicester City, is interested in reuniting with the defender.
The two worked together during Rodgers' tenure at Leicester between 2019 and 2023.
Amartey has been a key figure for Ghana at the international level, earning 55 caps for the Black Stars.
With his experience and defensive prowess, he remains an attractive option for clubs looking to bolster their backline.
