The Black Galaxies beat Ali Royals Soccer Academy 5-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium as part of preparations towards the Championship of African Nations qualifier against Benin on Sunday.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored from the penalty spot to give the Black Galaxies an early lead before Jona Attuquaye doubled the lead minutes before the half time whistle.

In the second half - Jona Attuquaye registered the game’s third goal as he smashed home from close range for his second of the day. Dreams FC forward Agyenim Boateng Mensah put his name on the score sheet in the 77th minute as Maxwell Abbey Quaye scored a brace to complete the rout.

The Black Galaxies will aim to pick all the spoils on Sunday as the fight for a spot in Algeria gets underway in earnest.

Annor Walker’s men have already defeated lower-tier sides Pinnacle Ciroma, Accra Five Stars, Dansoman Wise XI and Kenpong Football Academy in similar exercises.
