The Black Galaxies arrived back in Ghana on Sunday afternoon, following their 3-1 loss to Nigeria's Super Eagles B in the second leg of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier.

Touching down at Kotoka International Airport at 12:30 GMT, the team reflected on a campaign that saw them come tantalizingly close to qualifying for the 2024 CHAN tournament but fall short in the final hurdle.

Despite a spirited second-half performance at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani's men could not overturn a first-half onslaught by the Nigerians, who sealed their qualification with a 3-1 aggregate victory.

With the CHAN campaign concluded, the Black Galaxies players will now rejoin their respective clubs as they prepare for the ongoing domestic season.

This marks a tough end to Ghana's quest for consecutive CHAN qualifications, but the experience will likely serve as a building block for future international competitions.
