During Monday's Swedish Allsevenskan encounter between IF Elfsborg and Sirius, Black Meteors defender Terry Yegbe found himself receiving a red card.

The incident occurred when the Elfsborg center-back was seen deliberately elbowing his marker on the blind side of the referee.

Despite the referee's lack of direct observation, communication from the assistant referee resulted in Yegbe's sending off, leaving him visibly frustrated.

Yegbe's Ghanaian teammate Michael Baidoo had to intervene to console him as he exited the pitch late in the game, with the hosts leading 2-0.

Following the incident, Yegbe may face disciplinary action from the Swedish League, particularly considering his reaction to the red card.

IF Elfsborg secured the victory with goals from Arber Zeneli and Per Frick on either side of halftime, clinching all three points at home.

Despite the setback, Yegbe has been an active member of the Elfsborg squad since joining in February, making six league appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, midfielder Michael Baidoo played the entire duration of the game, contributing significantly to Elfsborg's performance, while Emmanuel Boateng was absent from action.
