Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle is rallying Ghanaians to throw their weight behind the team as they embark on their journey to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The team is gearing up to face Zambia in the first leg of their qualifier on Friday in Accra, with the return leg scheduled to take place in Lusaka five days later.

The stakes are high, as the winner of the tie will advance to the final qualifying round, where they will battle either Morocco or Tunisia for a coveted spot in the Olympic Games.

Hauptle, who has steered the Black Queens to an impressive record of 10 victories in 11 matches, is exuding confidence in her team's abilities.

However, she emphasizes the crucial role of home support in propelling the team towards success.

"We need the support, we need togetherness, everybody here in Ghana, the spectators, footballers, coaches. Let's come together and let's have a big football party tomorrow," Hauptle passionately urged.

The team wrapped up their preparations on Thursday, with morale soaring high after the players received their bonuses.

Earlier concerns about payment delays had threatened to overshadow the match, but swift resolution ensured that the focus remained firmly on the game ahead.

For the Black Queens, qualification for the Olympic Games represents an opportunity to etch their names in history, aiming to become the first Ghanaian football team to achieve this feat since 2004.

Hauptle is optimistic that with unwavering support from the nation, they can turn this dream into reality.

"We want to make Ghana proud, we want to make history, and we want to go to the Olympic Games," Hauptle emphasized.

"So, let's come together and support each other." With the nation's backing, the Black Queens are poised to write a new chapter in Ghanaian football history.
