Preparations are underway for Ghana's Senior Women's National Team, the Black Queens, as they gear up for an international friendly against Japan.

Head coach Nora Hauptle has summoned 33 players for the match scheduled on July 13 at the Kanazawa Go Go Curry stadium in Tokyo.

Several key players, including Freda Ayisi, Princella Adubea, and Bridget Adu, who are based in England, have already arrived for the training camp in Ghana.

The team will undergo rigorous training sessions before departing for Japan to finalize their preparations.

The friendly match against Japan holds significant importance for the Black Queens as they use it to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana secured qualification for the tournament in Morocco and aims to make a strong comeback after a six-year absence.

In contrast, Japan is gearing up for the Olympic Games, although Ghana narrowly missed qualification after losing to Zambia in the qualifiers.

The upcoming friendly against Japan promises to be a crucial test for the Black Queens as they seek to regain their competitive edge on the international stage.
