The Ghana U-20 men’s national team faced off against Medeama SC in an exciting friendly match at the new TnA Stadium on Tuesday, October 1.

The Black Satellites emerged victorious, claiming a hard-fought 1-0 win thanks to a first-half goal from Hayford Adu Boahen.

The match proved to be a challenging encounter for the young Ghanaian side, but Boahen’s strike was enough to secure the win against the reigning 2023 Ghanaian champions.

The Black Satellites displayed impressive organization and showcased their passing abilities throughout the game, though they struggled to convert several goal-scoring opportunities that came their way.

In the second half, Medeama SC found their rhythm and put the U-20 team under pressure.

However, goalkeeper Saeed Yakubu’s stellar performance was instrumental in keeping the Black Satellites in the game, as he made crucial saves to preserve their lead.

Under the guidance of Coach Desmond Offei, the team is now focused on preparing for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship, where they have been drawn into Group A alongside Togo, Benin, and Niger.

The Black Satellites are eager to build on their success from earlier this year, where they won gold at the African Games with a series of impressive performances.

The WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship is set to take place in Togo from October 17 to 31, 2024, and the Black Satellites are determined to replicate their past successes in this tournament.
