Ghana's U-20 national team, the Black Satellites, will begin residential camping on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, as part of preparations for the maiden edition of the WAFU Cup.
The tournament, set to take place from June 15 to June 30, 2025, will feature some of the best youth teams from the West African region. Ghana will be looking to make a strong impression in this inaugural competition.
Players invited for camp are expected to report to base by 10:00 a.m. on the reporting day. The technical team has curated a balanced squad, including players who featured in the 2025 TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, alongside new, promising talents who have earned their first national team call-ups.
This blend of experience and youthful dynamism is expected to provide Ghana with a competitive edge, as the nation continues to groom talent for future continental and global competitions.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reiterated its commitment to youth football development and believes that the Black Satellites have the potential to perform exceptionally well at the WAFU Cup and beyond.
