In a bid to ensure equal opportunities for talent discovery across all regions, the Black Starlets have announced the commencement of the second phase of screening across three football zones this weekend.

Scheduled for Friday, February 23, and Saturday, February 24, 2024, the two-day screening aims to identify promising U-17 players eligible to represent the Black Starlets.

The screening exercise will be conducted across three zones, facilitating easier transportation for participants from the 10 football regions of Ghana. Zone One comprises the Upper East, Upper West, Northern, and Brong Ahafo regions.

Zone Two includes Ashanti, Western, and Central regions, while Zone Three encompasses Eastern, Volta, and Greater Accra regions.

Players from Zone One are instructed to assemble at the NOBISCO Park in Tamale, while those from Zone Two will gather at the Sofoline astro turf in Kumasi. In Zone Three, the screening will be held at the All Nations University Park in Koforidua.

Successful candidates from the regional screenings will progress to the final phase of the screening exercise at the Technical Centre in Prampram.

The ultimate goal is to select a talented squad to represent Ghana in various international competitions, including the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations.

The initiative underscores the commitment of the Black Starlets to harnessing talent from all corners of the country and nurturing the next generation of football stars.
