The Black Stars head coach search committee has completed its task and presented its findings to the Executive Council for further action.

President Simeon-Okraku received the report on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The Executive Council will now review the recommendations and make a decision on the next Black Stars Coach.

Once the coaching decision is made, the FA will collaborate with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other stakeholders for their support.

The Executive Council had entrusted a five-member Committee, chaired by Vice President Mark Addo, with the responsibility of identifying a new coach for the senior Men’s national team following the departure of Chris Hughton.

The Committee was directed to consider suitable and competent coaches, even those who did not formally apply for the position.

The five-man search Committee comprised Vice President Mark Addo, Banker Kojo Addae Mensah, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah (Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association), Ghana Football legend Opoku Nti, and William Kartey (Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports).
