Head coach of the Black Stars has sent a message of support  to all players of the Black Stars who have tested positive for coronavirus after the team's friendly games in Turkey last week.

C.K Akonnor took to his twitter handle to wish those affected by the virus a speedy recovery:

"Speedy recovery to all the players who have tested positive for corona virus. Stay strong and come back stronger Let’s continue to adhere to all the safety protocols. Stay safe"

The two friendly matches is now turning out to be a coronavirus super spreader as already six players and an official of the Black Stars have tested positive for the virus.

Before the game against Mali, four of their players tested positive for the virus and were sent home but the match went ahead.

Since then at least six players and an official have tested positive for the virus with the latest being Caleb Ekuban.

Ghana played two friendly matches last week against Mali and then Qatar in Antalya, Turkey and after the matches most players have tested positive for the virus.

Besiktas midfielder Bernard Mensah, Kasim Adams,Jordan Ayew, Gideon Mensah, Caleb Ekuban, Joseph Aidoo, and Black Stars management committee member Jones Abu Alhassan  have all contracted the virus during the friendly games in Turkey.
