Ace Ghanaian radio personality, Kofi Okyere Darko widely known as KOD has disclosed CEO of EIB, Nathan Kwabena Adisi popularly known as Bola Ray called his wife to diffuse the pressure she was giving him at home.

According to the Former Radio Gold presenter, there was several pressure from all angles including from his wife to quit EIB.

He explained that unlike others who left the media house, he has experience of dealing with such matters.

The EIB Network was once the home of stars in the media space but now, the story is different as most of these TV/Radio icons have ditched the media house for other jobs.

CEO of the company, Bola Ray speaking at this year’s International Youth Empowerment Summit revealed the company went through hard times that he had to delay payments of salaries for 7 months.

In reaction, KOD who is one of the star names that remained at the station said: “There are other people who had stress from family. I did at some point. My wife was worried. In actual fact at a point, Bola had to call her personally because we’re family that Charlie we were going through a low tide and it’s not permanent we’ll overcome this. Bola had to call my wife,” he said.

KOD stated that “I had some pressure from my wife Charlie. Some people are leaving, why are you still there? I’m like no I can’t do this. I can’t do this I believe in loyalty. I’d done 18 years at Radio Gold. Do you know what it was like at Radio Gold? Radio Gold is very political so when NDC is in power, they’re in a good place. When they’re in opposition they’re in a bad place. So in and out and I stayed for 18 years. I know how to deal with these things”.

KOD who organizes the annual Rhythms On The Runway is readying with another edition this weekend.
