The General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has asked the New Patriotic Party to brand him as an “incompetent” politician if the opposition party’s definition of incompetence has to do with achieving beyond expectation as President John Mahama, in his view, has done to earn him the “incompetent” tag from Nana Akufo-Addo and his running mate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“Call me incompetent too if incompetence is about living up to expectation as the president has done,” General Mosquito as Johnson Asiedu Nketia is popularly known told a sea of party supporters at the Accra Sports Stadium to wrap up the party’s campaign ahead of Wednesday’s polls.

Mr Asiedu Nketia wondered why Nana Akufo-Addo, if he were “competent”, kept “running away” from the recently held presidential debate organised by the National Commission for Civic Education in collaboration with state broadcaster GBC.

Mr Asiedu Nketia asked voters to reject the Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP and vote for Mr Mahama and the NDC to continue their “good works” they have started.
