Black Stars forward Brandon Thomas-Asante is nearing a move to English Championship club Coventry City as the summer transfer window approaches its final stages.

The 25-year-old striker is currently undergoing a medical examination at Coventry City, having turned down a transfer to Hull City.

Thomas-Asante, who has been a standout performer for West Bromwich Albion over the past two seasons, is set to finalize a deal with Coventry City following the completion of his medical.

His decision to choose Coventry over Hull City is reportedly influenced by his relationship with George Boateng, the former Black Stars assistant coach now serving as Coventry’s deputy manager.

The English-born forward made his Black Stars debut in June, coming on as a substitute in Ghana’s thrilling 7-0 victory against the Central African Republic.

With Coventry City aiming for promotion to the Premier League after finishing ninth in the previous season, Thomas-Asante’s addition is expected to bolster their attacking options and enhance their chances in the upcoming campaign.
