World football governing body Fifa has rubber stamped proposals made by the country's adhoc football governing body as statutes that will see to the running of the beautiful game in the country.

Confirming the news to ghanaguardian.com, a member of the Normalisation Committee who wants to remain unanimous said FIFA has officially accepted the proposed new statutes for the Ghana Football Association.

This latest development means a clear path is in sight to reconstitute the new Ghana Football Association.

On hearing the news, Ghanaian football administrator and President of Techiman City Charles Kwadwo Ntim expressed delight at this news.

"We are glad Fifa has approved the new statutes but we all are awaiting what is contained in the new status" he declared.

Normalisation Committee is expected to meet stakeholders and publish what’s in the new GFA statutes as well as open nominations for elections. There will be a five-day grace period before the Emergency Congress after which the new Ghana Football Association will take over the reigns of Ghana football.

Per the timetable released by the Normalization Committee the Ghana Football Association Congress is scheduled for August 31, 2019.
