Youth of Breman Jamera in the Odoben Brakwa District of the Central region have demolished the structure which killed six pupils of the Breman Jamera Methodist School.

Their action was on the orders of the chief in the town, Nana Kwaw Fosu III after the kindergarten block of the school collapsed on the children Tuesday.

The about 70 pupils, aged four and five were about to settle for studies when the building collapsed.

Many others who sustained varying degrees of injuries are receiving treatment at the Breman Asikuma Hospital.

The chief blamed the Ghana Education Service (GES) for not heeding to their plea when they called for help.

Nana Kwaw Fosu III noted that, the block in question had developed cracks and several appeals for the defects to be fixed were not adhered to.

Meanwhile, Minister for Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has visited to the area to assess the extent of damage.
