State-owned telecom operator BSNL has reportedly altered its Rs 98 data-only plan, which will be valid across the country. BSNL has made changes to both data and validity of the plan.

According to a report by Telecom Talk, the plan will now also offer Eros Now subscription to its users, which will include free content from the channel. To recall, this plan was launched in May as the 'Data Tsunami offer.'

BSNL Rs 98 prepaid plan: What has changed?BSNL Rs 98 prepaid plan earlier offered 1.5GB daily data for a period 26 days. Now, the plan will offer 0.5GB daily extra data -- making it 2GB 3G data per day -- and now has a validity of 24 days. Once users expire their 2GB of data, the speed will be reduced to 80Kbps.

Airtel Rs 98 prepaid planIn comparison, Airtel also has a Rs 98 data-only plan. It comes with a validity of 28 days and offers 5GB 3G/4G data. This means that users will get only 5GB data that there are no free voice calling benefits with this prepaid plan. The Rs 98 plan has no daily data cap. This means that users can spend the entire 5GB data limit in one day as well. So far this plan is available only in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles as per Airtel's website Airtel.in.

Reliance Jio Rs 98 prepaid planReliance Jio also has a plan at the same price of Rs 98, where it offers 2GB 4G data with a validity of 28 days. Just like Airtel, the plan does not have a daily data limit. However, unlike Airtel and BSNL, this plan from Reliance Jio has voice calling benefits -- including local, national and roaming. Over that, Jio also offers its users complimentary subscription to Jio apps.
