Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor has named his starting line up for the crunch game against South Africa on Monday evening in the second game of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Ghana team is a much changed line up following the unavailability of some seven players five of which are players who play in the English Premier League.

Players in England have been barred from traveling to red listed countries and so clubs in England have prevented their players from traveling to South Africa with the like of Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp, Daniel Amartey, Andy Yiadom and Baba Rahman will all not feature for Ghana.

C.K Akonnor has named Richard Ofori in post while Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohameed has been handed his debut against the Bafana Bafana later this evening replacing Andy Yiadom who played against Ethiopia.

American based Jonathan Mensah will play alongside Strasbourg's Alexander Djiku in central defence while Bordeaux's Gideon Mensah will also play at left back in place of Reading defender Baba Rahman.

In midfield, Mubarak Wakaso will play alongside Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru and France based Emmanuel Lomotey in what is expected to be a midfield three.

The attack will be made up of captain Andre Ayew and in form Poland based winger Yaw Yeboah with Russian based Joel Fameyeh leading the attack as the central striker.
